Sheila Coultish
DIRECTOR
Sheila has been part of the Island theatre scene since she first moved here in 1966, directing and acting with Chemainus Dinner Theatre, Malaspina College, now VIU, After Eight Dinner Theatre and Yellowpoint. Her main focus however has always been Nanaimo Theatre Group and she has served in almost every position in this club from backstage to President. One of the joys of being involved with NTG, is mixing with a broad range of people of all ages, backgrounds and skills, never a dull moment! Sheila is very happy to once again partner Arvon Brunt on this show, "because we had such a great time producing Godspell last year". Enjoy the show please.

Arvon Brunt
MUSICAL DIRECTOR, Sound Operator
Arvon has worked extensively with Theatre BC on five provincial MAINSTAGE festivals since 2002 and on numerous other productions acting, producing, directing, stage managing, designing sound and more. She has an incredible gift for music direction and arrangment, she is known to bring out the very best of all who work with her. Arvon's work was behind the musical success of NTG's Godspell and most recently, Panto in the Jungle.

Peggy Harris
PRODUCER
Since joining NTG in 1969, Peggy has been involved with almost every aspect of theatre. She has acted in several dozen plays and has costumed, stage managed and produced or handled publicity, props, sound, makeup and front of house for countless more. Although she enjoys just about anything to do with theatre, her true love is directing. Her many credits include Doubt, Dangerous Liaisons, One For The Pot, Run For Your Wife, Move over Mrs. Markham, Key For Two, and pantomime's Mother Goose and Sinbad the Sailor, which she also co-wrote as well as producing Panto in the Jungle.

Ian Matthews
PRODUCER Ian is an honorary lifetime member of NTG. A retired school teacher, Ian has been involved in many shows as an actor, director and playwright since 1976. His most recent credits include the direction his own play, Deadly Affairs, assisting with stage management for Cash on Delivery, Mother Goose and on stage with Sinbad the Sailor, which he also co-authored.

Ann McIntuity-Gogo
CHOREOGRAPHER Though Ann has been a member of NTG for many years and has choreographed many productions for the group, this is her first time acting on NTG's stage. 2010/2011 has been a fabulously busy and varied theatre season for Ann. She was the choreographer for Schmooze Productions Rocky Horror Show, then went right into selecting the music and choreographing Ladysmith's Christmas Panto, The Grand Old Duke of York. She recently appeared as Polly in Yellow Point's Fawlty Towers and now takes on the double duty of choreographer and actress - QUELLE FROMAGE!

Jan Leslie STAGE MANAGER A talent both on stage and back stage, working with such talented people is always a pleasure for Jan and she finds the cast and crew of this show is no exception. She wants you to sit back and enjoy this wonderful show.

David Bourne
ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER
David started at NTG three years ago as an ASM with the one act plays. Since then he has helped with The Clean House, Godspell, Kiss the Moon - Kiss the Sun and 2010 SIZ festival winner, Doubt. Most recently he was responsible for the Sound Design in NTG's Panto in the Jungle and Sound Operation in Barefoot in the Park and Over The River and Through The Woods. Outside of this club, he has worked with Arts Alive's musical theatre programme in the summer, as well as being lighting designer at his school.

Roger Desprez
SET DESIGNER
One of the founding members of NTG, Roger directed, played in, and designed the set for the first production in 1961 - Separate Tables. Besides being a director and an actor, with over 60 years involvement in theatre, Roger has designed and built more than fifty theatre sets. "Each one has had its unique features", he says, "but some are more challenging than others."

Brad McAuley
LIGHTING DESIGNER Brad joined NTG in 2000 and worked as a lighting operator for several plays. His first lighting design was Taking Steps in 2005 followed by The Graduate in 2006 then Trying in 2007. In past seasons he has designed lighting for Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii in 2008, then Blood Money, Kiss The Moon in 2009 and Barefoot in the Park in 2010. NTG is privileged to have a lighting designer as knowledgeable as Brad.

Sheila Bowman

A rack of clothes beckons to Sheila like a fresh box of watercolours calls to an artist. Having last costumed Doubt: a Parable and Godspell and Barefoot in the Park, Sheila looks forward to adding to the characters of this dynamic cast.

Liz Mowbray
COSTUMER
Liz has managed to find time to costume the casts of many, many productions, but designing period costumes is one of her favourite occupations. Liz won the NIZ festival, Best Costumes award for her work in Arms and the Man. We are very excited to have Liz as part of our cast for Something's Afoot.

Neil Leslie SPECIAL EFFECTS
Neil's credits include many aspects of community theatre, both on and off stage. He has stage managed Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii as well as operated lights in many productions including Blood Money, Kiss the Moon Kiss the Sun, Mother Goose, Godspell, Clean House and Barefoot in the Park. His acting credits include Boyski in Peter and the Wolf, Judy's Father in Rebel Without a Cause (LSLT), and a Russian officer in Arms and the Man.

Vanessa Jones PROPS MANAGER Vanessa is pleased to be back working on an NTG production where she's been everything from props supervisor to an on stage Tigress. Vanessa is a librarian wannabee, student, improv actress, and volunteer. Her favorite productions include Fortinbras (NTG), A...My Name Is Still Alice (B2B) and Richard III (UVIC). She hopes you enjoy the show.

Francesa Reside
MAKEUP Francesca is once again on stage with the Nanaimo Theatre Group. Recently she was both Cast and Crew for NTG's Panto in the Jungle, as well as finishing her very first Stage Management expedition with this season's opening show The Underpants and handling Makeup for Over the River and Through The Woods. Francesca has done numerous productions on and offstage with NTG, Dover Bay Theatrix, Arts Alive and VIU. She has also worked with CYMC's 2009 production of RENT and with UBetcha Promotions. In between all this she is also working hard on getting her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Theatre.
